Primary Spanish Guide
Ms. Katia Ledon earned her American Montessori Society (AMS) Certification in 2012 from the Centro De Ensenanza Montessori and began her career working at Buona Terra Montessori School in Tijuana. Then in 2015, she completed her AMI Primary Certificate from the Montessori Institute of San Diego. For five years, she led a Spanish immersion classroom at Kinderhouse Montessori.
Ms. Katia is an experienced AMI Montessori Guide who has led classrooms in both Tijuana and San Diego. She fell in love with the Montessori methodology over 10 years ago. However, she really came to understand the depth of her teachings four years ago when she became a mother. She is a mother of two children, a 4-year-old boy (Emilio) and a 2-year-old girl (Luciana). They are what drives her—they are my everything. She loves how Montessori methods combined with Positive Discipline approaches combine to make secure and independent children.
In her free time, Ms. Katia loves watching movies and eating popcorn; it's something she does very often with her husband and children. She also loves good food and good coffee. A perfect outing for Katia includes trying new foods and she always starts her day with a strong cup of coffee.
